Let me introduce my self My name is Russell leach I am a retired Physicians Assistant that at the age of Fifty decided to pursue a long time passion of mine and start a Custom Wood furniture Business .The main focus of my business is to create wooden pieces made on a wood lathe .I make Lamps Tables and accessories out of the finest kiln dried Hardwoods .
The process by which I create wooden works of art is very simple .I use the finest wood and I try to shape the wood so it shows the true inherent beauty of each piece. My favorite wood to craft is African Mahogany. African Mahogany is a dense tightly grained Hardwood that makes furniture that lasts for hundreds of years it is Water proof and decay resistant. I use several other species of wood such as Ash Maple and Walnut . I usually use woods based on the grain and shape of the piece I will be making.

My latest s creations are Solid African Mahogany kiln dried  boards made into solid Prairie style  lamps .These high quality lamps are tangentially glued and set to prevent warping splitting and cracking. I use the highest quality boards that I select my self , I pick boards that are straight with beautiful grain patterns.
